Pre-Production Samples
Pre-production samples provide a final glimpse of your packaging before bulk manufacturing. Made with the actual materials and printing methods intended for the final product, they ensure accuracy and quality in design and functionality before full-scale production commences.The most expensive sample type is the production sample because it represents a whole manufacturing run for a single packaging item.
What's Included
Since Pre-production Samples are made with production facilities, all of the following features can be included:
- Custom dimensions
- Custom material according to customer requirement
- Printing (CMYK, Pantone, and/or white ink)
- Finishes (e.g. matte, glossy, velvet matte)
- Add-ons (e.g. embossing, debossing, spot UV, foil stamping, textures)
Deliverables
What you’ll Receive with each structural sample order, you’re entitled to:
- 1 dieline* of the Pre-production Sample
- 1-5 physical Pre-production Sample delivered straight to your location
*Note: die-lines for inserts are also provided with additional costs.
Process & Timeline
Generally, Pre-production Samples take 9-13 days to complete and 7-10 days to ship.
1. Specify requirements
Choose the packaging type and define the specs (e.g. size, material).
2. Place order
Place your sample order and make payment in full.
3. Create dieline (2-3 days)
We'll create the dieline for you to add your artwork to.
4. Send artwork
Add your artwork to the dieline and send it back to us for approval.
5. Create sample (7-10 days)
The sample will be printed based on the artwork file you sent. If you do not have artwork, we'll create one for you.
6. Ship sample (7-10 days)
We'll send photos and mail the physical sample to your specified address.

The per-sample price *may* change based on the precise nature of the requirements.
*Pre-production box insert samples are available when you have a die-line. If you do not have a die-line ask a support agent on live chat to assist you.
Reimbursement Policy
Fully refundable Pre-production Samples when you order 2500 units or more, details to be discussed with your packaging expert. For multiple samples of a single item, the cost of the most expensive sample will be refunded. However, if you are a startup business ask support for a favour.
Adjustments & Modifications
Before ordering, confirm all specifics of your Pre-production Sample. Changes made post-creation may incur additional costs.
